Energy markets in the Baltic Sea Region

This report – a review of the market in the electricity sector in eight EU countries – is the result of research on energy cooperation in the Baltic Sea region. The study is an attempt to present a complex market situation in the Baltic Sea region and aims to find answers to the problems of this part of the internal electricity market in the European Union. The Report provides a review on how each Member State of the Baltic Sea Region affects the electricity market. The scope of the study includes, inter alia, the following areas: policies, strategies, plans and programs related to the electricity sector; the degree of market liberalization; the ownership structure of the electricity sector.
