Procesy demograficzne w mieście jako wskaźnik bezpieczeństwa społecznego. Studium przypadku Gorzowa Wielkopolskiego

This article is a proposal to analyse the level of social security based on demographic indicatorson the example of the urban area of Gorzów Wielkopolski. The article assumes that demographic processes can be explained using the cognitive theory of operation. Thus, the thesis was adopted that decisions about having children, starting a family and migration will result from individual calculations in the context of a perceived sense of security. As a result, urban environments characterized by a high level of security will have favourable demographic indicators, and vice versa, environments with a low level of social security will have low demographic indicators.
