Bydgoska mowa w krakowskich uszach
The author presents a material gathered in the years 1988-2000 about the way inhabitants of Bydgoszcz spoke. These are words and forms which struck her as being different from the state of the Polish language in literature, and in its regional variety of the native language of Krakow. We find here specific proper names (unofficial toponyms and specific anthroponyms), the vocabulary from trade, religious cult, holiday customs, preparation of meals and everyday life. The author quotes the words used by some groups of people − health service, disciples, or in the so-called language of nannies.
She also pays attention to some properties of phonetics, syntax and linguistic label. It is an open matter to study the chronology of Bydgoszcz regionalisms (archaisms? neologisms?) and their provenance (from neighbouring dialects? from the German language?).
