Testing of main insulation in electrical machines is known well. Testing methods of main insulation are described in literature [1, 2]. For now, there is no develop a method for testing of turn to turn insulation. Statistic of windings damages shows that most of these damages begun in insulation between turns. The main insulation and insulation between turns is made with similar kind of dielectric material, but aging process of those two insulations is not similar. The insulation of turn is aging faster then the main insulation because the working temperature is higher for turn insulation then for main insulation. The article describes the schema of turn to turn insulation and results of simulations. Simulations were made with breaking of dc current in tested coil and turning on the voltage on tested coil. The article shows differences between methods.
